The Archipelago Singers, a choir which consists of 35 members that come from diverse ethnicity, religions, age and occupation, is the first Indonesian independent choir that passed the auditions for the most prestigious international choir competition in Germany and Austria.
The Archipelago Singers will represent Indonesia and South-East Asia in the 49th Choir Competition at Spittal an der Drau, Austria on July 5th - 8th, 2012. Then The Archipelago Singers will represent Asia in the 9th Choir Competition at Miltenberg, Germany on July 12th - 16th, 2012. The competition only chooses 6 best choirs from around the world and The Archipelago Singers has been chosen to be one of the top 6 out of 40 choirs from 16 countries around the world.
